A good friend was preparing for the recital that would help him earn his master’s degree, and he wanted posters to help draw a crowd and commemorate the event. He asked me if I would help, and since I love collaborations between the visual arts and auditory arts, of course I agreed.
I wanted to make sure that what I created couldn’t have just been thrown together in Canva. I paired two of my favorite media, typography and digital painting, and rendered the title into the painting itself.
The theme of Justin’s recital was Better Together, a celebration of all the collaborations that make an artist who they are. The wine, cheese, and grapes played on that theme well enough that this recital was the only one that year with snacks provided, and a great time was had by all!
